Consulting Manager
Overview
As a Consulting Manager at ViTL Solutions, you will serve our clients in various roles focusing on leading project, program, and portfolio management initiatives, maturing & optimizing Enterprise Program Management Offices, and executing technology-focused post-merger integration and value creation initiatives. You will support clients across a wide range of industries, with a focus on mergers & acquisitions. In addition to client service delivery, you will be an integral part of our team that helps shape our firm culture through strategy, business development, recruiting, team building, practice development, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Project and program leadership, portfolio management, building/optimizing Project Management Offices, and operating within Integration/Separation Management Offices.
- May be responsible for a team reporting to you.
- Often responsible for a workstream in a larger program.
- Establish core portfolio management processes and integrated roadmaps.
- Articulate the business value of portfolios and programs by identifying and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assess and optimize project and/or program management processes.
- Strategize and drive day-to-day delivery efforts with initiative and business leaders.
- Manage and grow client accounts through excellent delivery oversight and building trusted relationships.
- Develop others by sharing knowledge and providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
- Demonstrate personal effectiveness and organizational agility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships internally, with customers and with external networks, and demonstrate a passion for and commitment to the success of our customers by putting their interests first.
- Participate in business development activities to help grow ViTL’s book of business.
- Proactively look for personal and career development opportunities.
- May take on account management responsibilities and oversee delivery quality and account growth.
- May oversee a component of internal operations or a strategic ViTL initiative.
- Act as a steward of the organization by thinking like an owner and acting in the organization’s best interests.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in program/portfolio leadership, PMO operations, and merger/acquisition scenarios.
- Clear understanding and experience in program and portfolio governance and methodology approaches (including but not limited to PMBOK, waterfall, iterative, Agile — Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe).
- Experience with PPM tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to senior leadership levels.
- Proven ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence others, and manage conflict to productive conclusion.
- Prior consulting experience from either a large/strategic consultancy or internal corporate project management function is preferred.
- Experience working in multiple industries and business areas.
- Flexible with a high tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Experience with technology functions, such as system implementations, data analysis and migrations, is preferred.
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and work in a collaborative team environment.

- $115,000 – $151,000
